Since 2003, my family and I have spent several months per year on McCall Glacier studying glacier-climate interactions or on the tundra and rivers below studying the impacts of shrinking glaciers on downstream ecosystems. We also spend quite a bit of time flying over the landscape, making photogrammetric and laser measurements, extrapolating our ground measurements to the broader Arctic landscape, and laying down baseline transects to assess future change. While I've been fortunate to work on a wide variety of other projects in the past, this work will remain our focus for the foreseeable future.
